Consulting Services:

Design coaching, garden coaching, consultation to help you discover your garden's spirit of place. Brainstorming to give you suggestions about what you can do to change your garden spaces that very day. During this time we explore design, materials, plant and horticultural ideas to come up with solutions you can implement. Sketches, further resources or layout on the spot can help you as you change your garden to fit your needs.

Design:

1. I come out to your home or site & we discuss the possibilities. I charge at an hourly basis for this service. If you choose my design services I will deduct that amount from the overall design costs.

2. I come up with an estimate of how much the design will cost. This usually includes a design plan, planting plan & sketches as necessary to show particular details of a design.

3. Prior to the design plan I create a preliminary design which shows the layout of spaces i.e. screening, patios, decks, water features,paths etc. and how it will all flow together. Once this is decided upon we move on to the planting plan and so on.

Design Installation:

I will refer you to various contractors.

Design Oversight:

If you wish I can oversee the installation. It is usually a good idea to include the designer during the installation whether it is simply to consult with you as you do it yourself or as a facilitator throughout the entire installation. Having the designer involved insures that the design intent is carried out. As well as moving along rather fast, the installation is an important time to attend to any aspects of the design that may need further articulation. It is a time for creative expression ‘serendipity’, materials selection & placement, and to insure the project flows effortlessly to completion.
